First United Methodist Church of Orlando is forming a film club. The group will be organized much like a book club. Members will nominate films for coming months and will view a pre-selected film each month and participate in a discussion via Zoom. The group plans to use the website www.spiritualityandpractice.com as a resource for popular and critically acclaimed films. The site has wide-ranging listings of domestic and international films including popular films and documentaries.
The selection for June is a 2019 film entitled “The Farewell,” which is about family values and relationships, and has received much critical acclaim. A full description of the movie can be found on the spirituality and practice website and elsewhere online.
Join the group by registering on First Church Connect. (Click on the link to join.)
The first Zoom discussion is scheduled for Saturday, June 13 at 7 pm. (The first discussion)
