July 20, 2025 – Speaking from Zoom and inviting discussion, Brian T. Kaylor, a Baptist minister with a Ph.D. in political communication, is president & editor-in-chief of Word&Way, award-winning writer and expert on issues of religion, politics, and communication, author or co-author of five books on religion and politics

July 27, 2025 – Debbie Mitchell will talk to us from her notes at the June 2025 FLUMC  Annual Conference. 

AUGUST

August 3 – Rev. Dr. Elaine A. Heath, Abbess of Spring Forest, having served as Dean of the Divinity School at Duke University, and the McCreless Professor of Evangelism at Perkins School of Theology. She is a pioneer in new forms of theological education.
August 10 –  Rabbi David Kay, from the Orange County Mayor’s Council of Interfaith Leaders   who embrace the principles of innovation, collaboration, and inclusion. Now retired from congregational work, he is dusting off several writing and music projects.
August 17 – Gail Lippincott will lead class discussion of “A Renaissance of Wonder”  from the DVD series, “Painting the Stars: Science, Religion and an Evolving Faith.”
August 24 – Gail Lippincott will lead class discussion of  “Getting Genesis Wrong” from the DVD series, “Painting the Stars: Science, Religion and an Evolving Faith.”
August 31, 2025 – John Richard will lead a wrangle discussion on Dominic Crossan’s book, Paul the Pharisee.
