Nu Class Curriculum

SEPTEMBER

September 7- NU Class Chair Lora Gilbert will discuss “Investing in the School Food Service Program in Orange County.”

 

September 14 – Gail Lippincott will lead class discussion of  “An Evolving Faith”  from the DVD series, “Painting the Stars: Science, Religion and an Evolving Faith.”

 

September 21 – Prof. Bassem Chaaban, director of the Peace Institute in Orlando, will come speak to us. That is also Peace Sunday, the International Day of Peace, established by the UN in 1981

 

September 28 – Martha Are, Buddhist speaker

 

OCTOBER

October 5, 12, 19 –  Rev. Dr. James A. Harnish, Retired Methodist Pastor, will speak with us about his new book.

October 26 – Book Reviews by class members

NOVEMBER

Joanie Schirm  will join us again in November, perhaps telling us how people are feeling towards the U.S. these days as she travels to Czechoslovakia and England visiting friends and cousins she found researching her book she shared with us (NU recording August 15, 2021),”My Dear Boy, A World War II Story of Escape, Exile and Revelation” about her father.
