August 8, 2021 – Rev. Dr. Bob Bushong, District Superintendent to the East Central District will teach us and lead conversations related to racism, a reality in our culture that has been on his heart for decades.

August 15, 2021 – Joanie Schirm will share some of the contents of her book – My Dear Boy:  A World War II Story of Escape, Exile and Revelation.  Her father, Oswald Holzer, a Czech Jewish doctor, left Prague for Shanghai in 1939, soon after the German occupation of Czechoslovakia. The book was a 2019 Indies Book of the Year Finalist.  The book is available on Amazon and is also available through Orange County and Seminole County libraries.

August 22, 2021 – Ron Lee, will introduce Tatiana Quiroga (Ex. Director), and Khalil Magdah (board member and General Chair for this year’s Pride October events). Committed and seasoned leaders with experience in diversity and inclusion, pragmatic planning, and working in the nonprofit sector, they will  talk about her/his/their role in the wider community, their passion and vision, the challenges they face and the allies and resources they need, and leave a time to take “open mike” questions.

August 29, 2021 – Heather Wilkie, Executive Director of the Zebra Coalition Youth Center, Supporting and Inspiring LGBTQ+ Youth, will speak to us learning about the good work that the Zebra Coalition does.

September 26 – Mike Perkins will tell about development of the “History center  Ocoee massacre exhibition” the Center was recognized for.

September 12, 2021 – John Richard  will conclude the  September 11 Mini Theology Weekend.

October 17, 2021 – Best-selling author Susan Carol McCarthy.
